He American Academy of Neurology and the Child Neurology Society announced new guidelines for managing status epilepticus in children in the November 14, 2006 issue of the journal Neurology. Effective control measures must also eradicate organisms in the shoes, to prevent re-infection. It is wrong to infer that because fungi was grown from the footwear, that the fungi inside the shoe is a health risk to the wearer, as this study didn't identify the fungus present inside the shoes. It could have been a clinically unimportant form on the one hand, or an active fungous disease with clinical manifestations, on the other. It is important to realise the limitations of the conclusions drawn from this piece of research. The volume of results obtained was minimal, especially by the standards of microbiological research where numbers of repetitions are generally high. Despite the small scale of this study it has provided an insight into fungal levels in two different types of footwear, not known to have been covered in any previous research.

Your physician has prescribed MIACALCIN NS to you because you have a disease known as osteoporosis . What is Osteoporosis? Osteoporosis is a thinning and weakening of the bones that is common in postmenopausal women. The menopause occurs when the ovaries stop producing the female hormone, estrogen, or are removed which may occur, for example, at the time of a hysterectomy ; . After the menopause, bone is removed faster than it is formed, so bone loss occurs and bones become weaker. The earlier a woman reached the menopause, the greater the risk of osteoporosis. Maintaining bone mass and preventing further bone loss are important to keep your skeleton healthy. Early on, osteoporosis usually has no symptoms, if left untreated, however, it can result in fractures broken bones ; . Although fractures usually cause pain, fractures of the bones of the spine may go unnoticed until they cause height loss. Fractures may occur during normal, everyday activity, such as lifting, or from minor injury that would not ordinarily fracture normal bone. Fractures usually occur at the hip, spine, or wrist and can lead not only to pain, but also to considerable deformity and disability such as stooped posture from curvature of the spine, and loss of mobility ; . What does MIACALCIN do? MIACALCIN NS has been shown to delay progressive bone loss in postmenopausal oteoporosis. On the announcement of this three days earlier Prana stock had jumped in Australia from $1.35 to $1.60. 19 March 2003 Germany's Schering licenses some of Prana's intellectual property. Prana stock rises 8% to 78 cents on the news. 28 March 2003 - Prana suggests that a paper in the journal Neuron entitled Genetic or Pharmacological Iron Chelation Prevents MPTP-Induced Neurotoxicity in Vivo: A Novel Therapy for Parkinson's Disease with Ashley Bush as co-author provides more validation for Prana science.
